Welcome
Everyone comes to therapy for their own unique reasons.
You may have found that your previous ways of managing stress or conflict have stopped working.
You may have realized you feel unprepared for new interpersonal or work situations.
You may have started noticing uncomfortable and unfamiliar feelings coming up unexpectedly.
You may have experienced a loss which you feel unable to move past.

Whatever the reason you find yourself seeking it, effective therapy provides an opportunity to examine the ways in which your past experiences, your thoughts and your feelings influence your current choices and behaviors. Finding a therapist with whom you can connect and feel secure is an important first step to starting to change these patterns.

I view the work of therapy as a collaborative endeavor. While I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge about theory and the process of therapy, you are the expert on yourself and your life story. Working together, we will develop a secure and open working relationship that prioritizes your needs and goals.
I bring a deep curiosity and openness to this work. The core of the endeavor is a commitment from both of us to listen closely and carefully to what you say in the sessions. Through this compassionate process of active listening, I will work to understand your unique story and discuss this emerging understanding with you. In this collaborative way, I will help you understand the early origins of the stressors in your life, your responses to them and help you modify your behaviors.
